We are looking for a high-performing Tax Director to join our nationally recognized Technology & Emerging Growth Practice. This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the most innovative and fast-growing businesses in the country—from early-stage start-ups and seed-backed ventures to investment-backed and pre-IPO companies. With a clearly defined path to Partnership, this role is ideal for a tax professional who is both technically strong and deeply passionate about working with dynamic, growth-oriented clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic tax planning and compliance services to a portfolio of technology and emerging growth clients.
• Advise venture-backed and privately funded companies on complex tax issues including entity structuring, equity compensation, R&D credits, and multi-state compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term advisory relationships with founders, CFOs, and investors.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with partners and practice leaders to drive business development efforts and expand the firm’s presence in the emerging growth sector.
• Stay current on tax legislation impacting the innovation economy and proactively advise clients on risks and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• CPA required; MST or JD/LL.M. preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, with a strong background in technology and early-stage clients.
• Experience advising investment-backed companies and familiarity with equity compensation structures and tax implications.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing client engagements and mentoring junior staff.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a client-first attitude and drive to grow into a Partner role.
