Job summary

Baker Tilly is actively seeking a Manager, Tax Credit Structuring & Advisory to join our Development Advisory team. You will build and review sophisticated Excel models for LIHTC and HTC investments, develop scenarios, and serve as the main client contact with developers, investors, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• LIHTC experience including underwriting, financial modeling, development, consulting, or similar work.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise.
• Strong understanding of partnership structures and partnership taxation.
• Experience structuring complex real estate tax credit transactions.
• Excellent client management, communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and review complex Excel financial models for real estate tax credit investments.
• Develop financial projections, investment analyses, and transaction scenarios.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout the transaction lifecycle, partnering with developers, investors, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple client engagements and transactions independently with minimal supervision.
• Advise clients on transaction structure, financial feasibility, tax credit optimization, and partnership structures.
• Prepare and organize client deliverables.
• Research technical and industry issues, analyze data, and present findings to clients and internal teams.
• Mentor and support the development of junior staff.
• Provide general consulting services to help clients achieve their strategic and financial objectives.
