Job summary

Titan Tax in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our growing team. The role involves preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, providing planning strategies, and advising clients on tax implications of investments and business decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; CPA/EA is a plus, with at least 2 years of tax experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field preferred.
  • CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or other tax certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, tax consulting, or public accounting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience using professional tax preparation software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Analyze clients' financial records, income, deductions, and credits to identify tax-saving opportunities.
  • Advise clients on tax implications related to investments, businesses, real estate, and major financial decisions.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding tax matters and provide clear explanations of tax regulations.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law changes and communicate their impact to clients.
  • Assist clients with IRS notices, audits, and tax resolution matters when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with accountants, bookkeepers, and other financial professionals to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service.
  • Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance tax knowledge and consulting skills.
