Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP in California is seeking Tax/Audit Interns across Carlsbad, Century City, Irvine, Ontario, and Pasadena. The internships start in January 2028 and end in April 2028.

You'll work on tax returns, audits, and assurance services while gaining exposure to clients and internal training. The role offers hands-on experience with accounting principles, workpapers, and client engagements, with emphasis on collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Working towards the achievement of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Achieving credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.

The compensation range for this position in California is: $30.00 - $35.00
