Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) in Portland, OR seeks a Tax/Audit Associate to join our team with a January 2028 start. You’ll work on tax returns, audits and assurance projects while building client relationships and contributing to complex engagements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA exam eligibility, and a willingness to travel to client sites. CLA values collaboration, integrity, development, and inclusive teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA exam eligibility per state requirements expected.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
