Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, complete and file tax returns for individuals and companies.
• Prepare tax forms and documents.
• Monitor and respond to tax authority communications.
• Offer advice and suggestions on reducing costs and improving profits.
• Assist clients with tax audits and other needs.
• Identify taxes owed or refunds due.
• Eliminate or defer tax payments using regulations.
• Consult with clients to understand their financial affairs and tax liabilities.
• Analyze prior returns and financial documents for completeness.
• Use accounting software to prepare tax returns.
• Calculate taxes owed or refunds and consult tax publications for guidance.
• Submit tax returns to senior staff for review.
• Present approved returns to clients.
• File tax returns for clients.
• Keep updated on changes in tax law and regulations.
