Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is assisting a well-established public accounting firm in offering a Tax Associate (CPA) role with 100% remote work. The position targets CPAs with 2–5+ years of public accounting tax experience, responsible for preparing and reviewing federal and state returns, tax research, and planning with a distributed client base.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA license and a Bachelor’s in Accounting, with a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

  • CPA license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
  • 2–5+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH, ProSystem, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

  • Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform tax research and apply findings to client situations
