Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate in Compensation & Benefits Tax to deliver tax analysis and advisory services for retirement plans, executive compensation, and related matters. You will work across capabilities and contribute to complex engagements, building expertise and client impact.

The role emphasizes tax research, writing, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to solve client challenges while advancing your professional growth at A&M.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Enrolled in accredited college/university and pursuing relevant degree (CPA eligibility or Bar).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex information.
• Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in spreadsheets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laws, regulations, and guidance in compensation & benefits tax.
• Draft memos and letters on compensation & benefits issues.
• Research tax reforms and SEC requirements for clients.
• Aggregate data in Excel for nondiscrimination testing and retirement plans.
