Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience at a Big 4 accounting firm providing tax consulting or tax compliance services.
• CPA license or eligibility for the CPA license required.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power...)

Responsibilities

• Assist with calculations, reviews, or audits of various tax credits submitted by customers or their accountants.
• Compile, automate, and maintain detailed customer reconciliation reports, detailing total credits issued, date issued, and credits pending.
• Support the team in performing monthly, quarterly, and annual internal reconciliations of balances due to and due from customers.
• Work with internal design and product teams to test new features and provide usability and compliance feedback from an accountant’s perspective.
• Leverage tax expertise to assist with projects that provide thought leadership and insights into industry needs.
• Assist with tracking and compilation of team OKRs, KPIs, and SLA performance metrics.
• Support development and maintenance of standard operating procedures around tax service offerings.
• Work with accountant partner firms and marketing to develop thought-leadership content and networking opportunities.
• Assist with complex escalated issues regarding taxes and company products, via email or calls.
• Help drive tax and accounting customer awareness and education.
• Assist with responses to complex questions from various teams (e.g., Customer Success).
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of the payroll platform and educate team members.
• Support corporate financial audits and regulatory examinations.
• Prepare, review, and submit Form 941-X amended payroll tax returns.
• Assist in other special projects: turning ambiguous requests into actionable plans.
