H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services. No prior tax experience is required; with training from day one, you’ll work with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building strong relationships.

This in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office offers a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you learn more tax knowledge and grow in the role during peak season.

Formación

• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

About the Role

As a seasonal Tax Associate at H&R Block, you’ll begin a career in tax and client services—no prior tax experience required. With training and support from day one, you’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and strong client relationships. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate, with opportunities to increase your earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course1
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems included AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Experience in a client-facing or consultative role, such as financial advising, insurance, retail sales, or professional services
• Experience asking questions and recommending solutions based on customer needs
• Ability to work 15–35 hours per week, with availability up to 40 hours during peak periods
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season
