H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in Ohio. You’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and learn in a supported environment with real-time coaching.

No prior tax experience is required; training begins on day one, and you can earn competitive hourly pay while building client service and tax knowledge. This is an in-person, seasonal opportunity designed for flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain information clearly and ask questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course1

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Experience in a client-facing or consultative role, such as financial advising, insurance, retail sales, or professional services
• Experience asking questions and recommending solutions based on customer needs
• Ability to work 15–35 hours per week, with availability up to 40 hours during peak periods
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season
