District Partners, partnering with a well-established retail organization, seeks a Tax Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team.   • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years in tax, accounting, or financial compliance.
  • Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional tax requirements and filings.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support recurring tax compliance activities across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and review schedules, reconciliations, and documentation used in tax filings.
  • Research discrepancies and resolve issues related to tax data, payments, and reporting.
  • Assist with state and local tax matters, including sales and use, income, and property tax.
  • Coordinate information requests for tax audits and other regulatory inquiries.
  • Maintain organized records and supporting documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Research tax rules and help evaluate how changes may affect current business operations.
  • Work with internal departments to gather information, clarify tax treatment, and resolve questions.
  • Support tax-related activities associated with business expansion, operational changes, and new initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, controls, and efficiency within tax processes.
  • Assist with special projects, research, and additional tax matters as needed.

District Partners is partnering with a well-established, family-owned retail organization to identify a Tax Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team. Working closely with the Tax Manager and broader Finance team, the Tax Analyst will support tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including income, sales and use, and property tax. This individual will play an important role in maintaining accurate filings, reconciling tax activity, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and minimize tax exposure.

The role offers broad exposure across multiple areas of corporate tax and is a great fit for someone who enjoys digging into the details while also working cross-functionally to solve problems and improve how things get done.

What You'll Be Owning:
  • Support recurring tax compliance activities across federal, state, and local jurisdictions

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or financial compliance
  • Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional tax requirements and recurring tax filings
  • Experience working with financial data, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new financial and tax systems
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
  • Experience in a multi-location or complex operating environment is helpful
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent credentials are a plus, but not required
