Job summary

Porter & Company CPAs, a Dallas-based firm led by second-generation ownership, seeks a Tax Manager to lead our tax advisory work for high-net-worth clients and manage a team of 2–3 associates, shaping how we deliver value beyond compliance.

You will own complex partnership returns, multistate real estate tax matters, and translate technical concepts into plain language while mentoring staff, expanding advisory relationships, and driving automation to free the team for higher-value work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in public accounting with advisory focus.
• Strong background in partnership taxation and multistate real estate.
• Ability to translate complex tax concepts for clients.
• Proven mentoring and staff development skills.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax advisory for high-net-worth clients and complex entities.
• Own complex partnership returns (1065s) with multiple partners.
• Oversee multistate real estate tax situations and layered entities.
• Mentor and develop junior staff for strategic thinking.
• Manage advisory relationships with clients at a high level.
• Develop automation and processes to reduce repetitive work.
