Chan CPA & Company, Inc. in Campbell, CA is seeking a motivated Tax & Accounting Support to join our growing team.

The role focuses on assisting with gathering information and organizing documents for Federal and California tax returns, and supporting staff with tax work papers and schedules. Responsibilities include using Intuit Lacerte, preparing tax projections, communicating with clients, and maintaining confidential files.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
• Experience with tax preparation including at least one completed tax season.
• Experience using Intuit Lacerte Tax Software.
• Knowledge of federal and California tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with proper tax workpaper preparation and documentation.
• Experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in gathering information and organizing documents for federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 706, 709, 990).
• Utilize Intuit Lacerte Tax Software to prepare and process tax returns.
• Prepare and organize tax work papers, supporting schedules, and documentation.
• Work under the supervision of a tax preparer.
• Assist with business property, sales, payroll tax, Form 1099, and other filings.
• Assist in preparing tax projections and identifying tax-saving strategies throughout the year.
• Download, maintain, and organize confidential client files and records.
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and follow up on items.
• Assist in managing client projects, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
