My Client, a market leading CPA firm in the heart of NYC is seeking a seasoned Tax & Accounting Manager to lead tax compliance, planning, and accounting functions. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the development of strategies to reduce tax liabilities while improving financial efficiency.

Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Tax & Accounting Manager - NYC - MUST BE CURRENTLY WORKING IN A CPA FIRM

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research
• Prepare and review diverse returns (individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, multistate)
• Apply in-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry-specific issues to client strategies
• Utilize tools such as Thomson Reuters CCH Axcess, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks
• Coordinate complex accounting projects across the team and maintain high-quality work standards
• Build and manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for added value
• Review and approve engagement work papers; plan, schedule, and allocate staff resources
• Supervise and mentor staff accountants, providing feedback and performance evaluations
• Monitor tax law developments and implement relevant process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)
• CPA license (Required)
• 7+ years in a CPA firm environment (Required)
• Proficiency in CCH Axcess, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products (Preferred)
