Werner Enterprises currently offers a paid internship at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska with some remote and off-site opportunities. It provides dedicated job training, real-world experience, and a collaborative environment for an Accounting major interested in tax and finance areas.

The role includes exposure to Workday Financials, support for housing if available, and opportunities to participate in projects and mentoring programs within a diverse team.

Formación

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Completion of introductory tax and accounting coursework preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with preparation of sales and use tax filings, property taxes, fuel and miles tax filings, and income tax returns.
• Help maintain tax records and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Conduct tax research and summarize findings for the tax team.
• Participate in special projects related to tax planning and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and operations.
