UMB Bank is seeking a Tax Accounting Specialist intern to gain real-world experience within our Tax Accounting Alternative Investments team.

You will gather and track client tax documents, create initial tax returns, and communicate with clients as needed in a full-year internship year or potentially January–April. The role offers learning opportunities in multiple tax accounting functions and collaboration with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Two years of undergrad coursework in a business-related field.
• Ability to communicate with clients via phone and email.
• Organized, detail-driven, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients by phone and email to collect tax documents.
• Input tax documents and prepare returns using Excel and UMB Systems.
• Distribute tax documents to client investors for tax preparation.
