NYB CPA P.C. is a small, hands-on CPA firm in New York City looking for a motivated accounting student or recent graduate to join our team as a Tax & Bookkeeping Intern.
We are a two-person firm, so this is very different from a traditional large-firm internship. You will work closely with a CPA, interact directly with clients, and get hands-on exposure to tax preparation, bookkeeping, accounting, and the day-to-day operation of a CPA practice.
Because we're a small team, we're looking for someone who is sharp, dependable, and able to take ownership of assigned work. You won't be one of many interns doing repetitive tasks. You'll be given real responsibilities and expected to stay on top of assignments, follow up on open items, ask questions when needed, and make sure things don't fall through the cracks.
The environment is fast-paced, particularly during tax season, and expectations are high. In return, you'll get significant hands-on experience working directly with a CPA and real clients.
$18-$25 per hour, based on experience and availability.
Candidates must be available at least 2 full days per week, with greater availability strongly preferred. We can provide some flexibility around class schedules.
This position is best suited for someone nearing the end of their accounting degree or a recent graduate who wants to quickly build practical experience. For the right person, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a CPA, handle real client matters, and develop tax and accounting skills that can take much longer to gain in a larger firm.
