Connect Search LLC is recruiting for a Tax Accountant opportunity with a confidential public accounting firm in San Angelo, Texas. You will prepare federal and state returns, assist with planning and compliance, and work directly with clients to resolve questions and deliver timely updates.

Ideal candidates range from early-career to experienced, with a bachelor’s in accounting and at least 1 year of tax experience. CPA eligibility is a plus. Relocation to San Angelo is encouraged.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of tax preparation experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns.
• Working knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• CPA license or CPA eligibility is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with professional tax preparation software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-service mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and other business entities.
• Assist with tax planning, research, and compliance for individuals and privately held businesses.
• Review financial records and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Research federal and state tax regulations and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, resolve questions, and provide timely updates.
• Assist with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence.
• Collaborate with senior accountants, managers, and partners to meet client deadlines and deliver quality work.
• Support accounting, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation as needed.
