B. Riley Wealth is seeking a full-time Tax Accountant to join our Lake Ronkonkoma, NY office. The Tax Accountant will prepare individual and business tax returns, conduct client interviews, and provide guidance on a variety of tax matters.

The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000. Responsibilities include reviewing financial data, responding to client inquiries, and leveraging full firm services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Direct experience working with clients and the ability to clearly explain tax and accounting concepts.
• At least one year of experience using QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with preparing sales and payroll tax filings.
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented and professional approach.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to make accurate, rules-based decisions.
• Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Conduct client interviews to understand their financial circumstances and gather necessary documentation.
• Review client-provided financial data for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare tax returns and provide accounting services for individuals and small businesses.
• Respond to client inquiries and research tax-related issues as needed.
• Identify opportunities to assist clients by leveraging the full suite of services offered by the firm.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
