Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking qualified professionals to support CBRN detection operations across multiple CONUS/OCONUS sites. You will deploy on a TDY basis, maintain rigorous equipment readiness, and collaborate with government stakeholders to execute mission tasks.

Candidate must have strong leadership, English fluency, and a background in CBRN with security credentials. CDL B or ability to obtain it within 3 months is required. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance is preferred and expected for sensitive operations.

*This position is on an as-needed basis and not a full-time role

Salary: $35/hr - $40/hr

Summary:

This task-based, part-time position deploys in support of MDDP operations, at a minimum, twice per fiscal year to Supports operational duties and activities by maintaining equipment, tactics, techniques and providing operational support at the bequest of the government.

Work for this position will be located at one of the following sites:

• Fort Dix, NJ
• Herndon, VA
• Indianapolis, IN
• Mobile, AL
• Novato, CA
• Portland, OR
• Denver, CO
• Washington, DC

This position supports travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites throughout the 54 US States and Territories.

Job Description

• Conduct and support CBRN detection operations in conjunction with program stakeholders in post-deployment communications.
• Supports operational duties and activities based on request from FPM, and COR to support MDDP operational aspects as requested on a temporary duty status.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment, tactics, techniques, and procedure standards.
• Adheres to professional standards and codes of conduct set forth by MDDP, CWMD, and DHS including dress code, all forms of communication standards, social media regulations, and other policies as required.
• Conduct technical chemical, radiological and nuclear reach back on all requested deployments to demonstrate proficiency.
• Equipment experience shall include the use of primary and secondary screening devices, spectroscopic devices, and chemical identification equipment utilizing FTIR and Raman technologies.

Qualifications

• Preference is given to those individuals who have advanced training and experience on an MDDP team, any of the National Guard CBRN Response Enterprise (CRE) elements including the Civil Support Team (CST), CBRNE Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP), and Homeland Response Forces (HRF) current/retiring Coast Guard Strike Team, Army Tech Escort or Special Forces CRD, or other DOD/DHS/DOJ special CBRNE team members
• Secret Security Clearance
• Knowledgeable in using the following types of representative Radiation/Nuclear (R/N) detection equipment: Personal Radiation Detectors (PRD) (Spectroscopic/Non-Spectroscopic) (examples may include: D-tect Systems Mini Rad-D, Thermo RadEye, FLIR IdentiFINDER R300 nanoRaider, and Kromek D3S); Human Portable Radiation Detection Backpacks (examples may include: Thermo PackEye, and Bubble Technology Industries FlexSpec); Radiological Isotope Identification Devices (RIIDs) (High-Res/Low-Res) (examples may include: FLIR IdentiFINDER R400 and ORTEC Detective DX); Mobile Radiation Detection System such as Radiation Solutions Inc. RSI-701; Auxiliary Equipment: Radios, Radioactive Material Sources.
• CBRN subject matter expert
• Have a Commercial Driver’s License Class B (CDL B) or ability to obtain within 3 months following contract award
• 5+ years CBRN experience in participating and assisting with operational planning and supporting the coordination of detection and preventative activities with a minimum 5 years of hands‑on equipment experience. Equipment experience shall include the use of primary and secondary screening devices and shall include spectroscopic devices, and chemical identification equipment utilizing FTIR and Raman technologies
• Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, public speaking and presentation skills, verbal and writing skills will be of an excellent aptitude when producing documents and providing presentations.
• Possess National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command Structure (ICS) certifications and courses (i.e. ICS 100, 200, 700)
• At least one basic radiation fundamental training program certification,
• Primary and secondary screening preventative certifications.
• Demonstrate excellent decision making and critical thinking skills
• Able to operate in a high‑paced environment with deadlines.
• Ability to Travel to CONUS and OCONOS sites during the year
