Matrix Service Co. is seeking skilled welders to perform welding and grinding per job specifications at our Nederland, TX site. You will select equipment, plan layout, and assemble welding with precision, interacting closely with supervision on the jobsite.
Essential duties include assisting fit-up, post-weld cleanup, inspection, and repair. You must pass required weld tests, comply with safety policies, and be willing to travel and work overtime as needed.
Summary: Responsible for performing welding and grinding functions per job specifications. Selects equipment and plans layout and assembly of welding. Works closely and interacts with supervision. Works with precise limits and standards of accuracy.
Essential Functions:
Tank Welders must be able to pass the following weld tests.
Carbon Steel Plate Test:
Specialty Vessel Welders must be able to pass the following weld tests.
9% Nickel Plate Test:

Physical Requirements:
Hiring range: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
While the position offers a wage range of $30.00 to $36.00 per hour, the maximum rate is contingent upon the candidate successfully passing the required weld test and demonstrating relevant 9% nickel welding experience. Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be offered a rate lower within the posted range.
