Job summary

Hoover CS is seeking a Tank Technician to support painting, decals, and QA testing of tanks in a busy unairconditioned warehouse.

The role requires working with others and alone, following safety protocols, and maintaining inventory while handling parts and tools used in the assembly or shipping process. The position entails exposure to hazardous chemicals and loud environments.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-3 years of successful continuous employment in an industrial setting where employee would have learned to be productive.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Forklift experience a plus but not required.
• Able to clearly communicate with all other operators throughout the floor.
• Demonstrate ability to work both alone and in groups.

Job description

The Tank Technician will work in cooperation with other operators as assigned to service tanks. This position will be helping to remove old decals and prep tanks to be repainted. Our ideal candidate will be dependable and have a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to paint, scrape and apply decals to tanks.
• Conduct QA testing on tanks.

Physical Demands

• Strenuous physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to wear respirator mask for 40% to 60% of shift.
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Good visual acuity.

Work Environment

• Work is in an unairconditioned warehouse.
• Will be working in different weather conditions.
• Will be working with and around hazardous chemicals.
• Subject to loud noises.
