Role Description

Tank Cleaners at Vecta Environmental Services, LLC perform hands-on industrial cleaning tasks in tanks and related equipment at customer sites in Houston, TX. This full-time, on-site role involves preparing work areas, setting up and operating cleaning equipment, and following detailed procedures for safe tank entry, cleaning, and waste removal. Responsibilities include handling hoses and tools for hydroblasting and other cleaning methods, collecting and properly containing waste materials, and assisting with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment. Tank Cleaners are expected to follow all safety protocols, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and comply with company and regulatory standards. The role also includes completing basic documentation, communicating with supervisors and team members, and supporting emergency response and remediation activities as needed.


Qualifications


  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.

  • Understanding of basic industrial safety practices, including use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe confined space entry (training provided as needed).

  • Comfort working with industrial cleaning equipment such as hoses, pumps, hydroblasting tools, and related machinery, with willingness to learn proper operation and maintenance.

  • Basic reading and writing skills to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and complete required logs or reports accurately.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability, with the ability to follow directions and work respectfully with diverse crew members and supervisors.

  • Willingness to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekends when operational needs or emergency response requirements arise.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in industrial services, tank cleaning, or environmental work is beneficial but not required.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Houston, TX worksite; ability to meet company background and drug screening requirements.
