Tanger is seeking a dedicated Brand Ambassador for San Marcos to warmly greet guests, promote TangerClub benefits, and share information about store promotions and events.

The role emphasizes delivering an engaging customer experience, maintaining brand standards, and supporting center operations. A HS diploma and 1–2 years of customer service are preferred, with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a polished and professional appearance aligned with the Tanger brand.
• Attend Tanger virtual or in-person sessions, webinars, or meetings to enhance knowledge and skills as a brand ambassador.
• Engage and assist all guests across the center, driving awareness and providing a consistent brand voice.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all center locations, programs, promos, and events to answer questions and assist shoppers.
• Distribute samples, coupons, and product information to shoppers.
• Collect and record customer feedback for internal and client relations.
• Educate shoppers on TangerClub benefits via the Tanger Mobile App and assist sign-ups.
• Represent Tanger at on-site and off-site marketing events and conferences.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain a polished and professional appearance that aligns with our brand image.
• Attend Tanger virtual or in-person sessions, webinars, or meetings to enhance knowledge and skills as a brand ambassador.
• Engage and proactively assist all guests across the center as assigned, driving consumer awareness, providing a consistent brand voice, and creating a fun welcoming atmosphere.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of all center store locations, amenities, local and national programs, promotional offers, and event details in order to answer questions and provide superior customer service to Tanger's shoppers and retailers.
• Prepare and hand out samples, coupons, and product information. Distribute these marketing and promotional materials to shoppers.
• Collect and record customer feedback and information as needed internally and for client relations.
• Use expert mobile technology skills to educate all shoppers on TangerClub benefits and opportunities for additional savings, sales, contests, events, and loyalty perks via the Tanger Mobile App. Assist new customers in signing up for TangerClub and any help needed with the Mobile App.
• Represent Tanger by actively participating in on-site and off-site marketing events to promote marketing initiatives locally and regionally, for conferences, trade shows and other events.
• Assist in set up, organization, and breakdown for events.
• Capture and recap promotional events via photos, video, audio, etc.
• Foster partnerships with our retailers by responding appropriately to retailer requests.
• Assist center management team as needed.
• Drive operational excellence according to Tanger policy and procedure by reporting center issues or concerns in a timely and accurate manner to center management and in accordance with policy.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to include general office up-keep and organization.
• Assist in receiving shipments, route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail and overnight packages as needed.
• As needed, assist with the following and make sure they are maintained and regularly updated: emergency notification systems, HVAC & roof logs, center collateral & signage, center website, vendor check-in & social media channels.
• Assist in training new Brand Ambassadors as needed.
• Perform additional duties or participate in other special projects as assigned.

• Effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
• Ability to offer best in class service, anticipate needs, and leave the customer with a positive Tanger experience.
• Ability to carefully listen and understand a customer’s situation in order to assist them.
• Able to acknowledge, interact and build relationships with shoppers, vendors, and retailers.
• Ability to maintain a polite demeanor and demonstrate patience when interacting with customers.
• Ability to act in a professional manner at all times.
• Ability to remain up to date on Tanger marketing initiatives to drive revenue generation.
• Ability to communicate effectively including using positive language
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English, bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to use and navigate current/emerging technology and applications with proficiency. This includes mobile devices (mobile phones/iPads, tablets).
• Ability to work outdoors promoting marketing initiatives designed to drive traffic and generate revenue.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or work-related experience.
