Job summary

The Department of Social Services in Eagle Butte, SD is seeking a dedicated professional to support TANF participants by assessing life circumstances and developing employment opportunities. You will identify barriers, assist in job search and retention, and provide counseling to promote successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in social or related fields and may bring experience in health care administration or finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social science, behavioral science or related human services fields preferred.
• Experience in health care administration, finance, accounting or insurance is a plus.
• Entry level knowledge may be gained through training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze life circumstances to develop employment opportunities for TANF participants.
• Identify barriers to employment and support job search and retention activities.
• Provide counseling and solutions to promote employment and match customers with appropriate jobs.
• Develop curricula for and present workshops and public presentations.
• Prepare clear documentation, reports and correspondence reflecting relevant facts.
