Job summary

Xlysi LLC, Expert Portal Solutions, is seeking a senior software professional in the Tampa area to contribute to Tandem/Pathway projects. You will design, develop, test, and operate critical banking applications in a large corporate environment, using modern languages and SQL queries.

The role emphasizes SDLC excellence and Agile practices, with exposure to cloud technologies and AI/ML. Strong COBOL/SCOBOL and Tandem tooling experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years experience on Tandem/Pathway platform.
• Hands-on system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Experience in a large corporate environment with modern languages and DB queries.
• Proficient coding skills across multiple languages.
• Familiar with SDLC and Agile practices including CI/CD and Scrum.
• Knowledge of Cloud, AI/ML, and mobile tech.
• Experience with COBOL/SCOBOL, TACL and tandem tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Ensure operational stability and performance across systems.
• Develop, debug, and maintain code in a corporate setting using modern languages.
• Contribute to SDLC and Agile practices including CI/CD and Jira/Bitbucket.
• Apply banking domain knowledge to card and payment processing projects.
• Work with Tandem Pathway, Batchcom, Netbatch, FUP, KLIST, Enform, and SQL queries.

Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience working on Tandem/Pathway.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Strong coding skills in one or more programming languages.
• Experience across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Exposure to Agile methodologies, including:
  • CI/CD
  • Application Resiliency
  • Scrum
  • JIRA
  • Bitbucket
• Knowledge of emerging software technologies and technical processes, such as Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mobile, etc.
• Knowledge of COBOL, SCOBOL, and TACL.
