Job summary

Carter & VerPlank, a DXP Company, is seeking an Entry Level Sales representative in Tampa, FL to learn and support the sales process, identify customer needs, and help drive revenue. You will make outbound calls, respond to inquiries, prepare basic quotes, and maintain accurate CRM records while shadowing seasoned professionals and participating in training.

Collaborate with customer service and operations to ensure timely deliveries and build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Foundational sales skills, including basic prospecting, relationship building, and follow-up.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL, collaborate in a team environment, and maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support the sales process, including identifying customer needs, presenting products and solutions, and assisting with order follow-up.
• Day-to-day tasks include making outbound calls, responding to customer inquiries, and preparing basic quotes.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and shadow experienced sales professionals.
• Participate in product and sales training and collaborate with customer service and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
