AtkinsRéalis in Tampa, FL is seeking an entry-level Construction Field Engineer to join our Florida Construction Management team. The role involves field data collection, inspection of activities for compliance with contract plans, and collaboration with senior staff.

You will perform soil, concrete, and asphalt sampling, document test results, and support record keeping. A Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) is required and basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Minimal experience required for entry-level position.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and to understand contract plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Participates in engineering investigations and planning by completing well-defined tasks and data collection.
• Observes construction activities to verify compliance with contract plans and specifications and reports deficiencies.
• Samples and tests soil density, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.
• Verifies form construction details and material placements as required.
• Writes diary inspection reports, weather reports, and documents test results and observations.
• Assists in record keeping and performs basic field measurements of quantities.
