You will collaborate across Talent, Patient Supply, Learning, and external partners to create global knowledge transfer and learning programs, guiding multi-geography initiatives.

About the role

We are looking for a strategic, collaborative, and innovative Workforce Development Lead US, for our new Biomanufacturing site, to join our Talent team, based in our Atlanta, GA office.

You will shape and lead the workforce ecosystem needed to support a new United States biomanufacturing operation. You will translate long-term workforce requirements into scalable programs that build ready-to-hire and ready-to-develop talent. Through partnerships with education, government, workforce, and community organizations, you will create sustainable pathways that support manufacturing readiness, operational capability, and future growth.

Who you'll work with

You will work across Talent (Human Resources) organization (in the US and Belgium), Patient Supply (ie Manufacturing, Engineering , Supply Chain), Learning, US Communication & Corporate Affairs, and business leadership. You will also be the UCB Talent Representative with external partners, including universities, technical colleges, government organizations, and workforce boards. Together, you will build programs that connect regional talent opportunities with UCB's global manufacturing standards and long-term workforce needs.

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale workforce programs in a greenfield manufacturing environment
  • 10+ years of workforce development experience
  • Experience leading complex initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders across different geographies
  • Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder alignment capabilities
  • Ability to lead independently within ambiguous, rapidly changing environments
Preferred requirements
  • Experience connecting workforce planning, learning, recruitment, and external partnerships
  • Experience developing global knowledge-transfer or cross-cultural capability-building programs
  • Knowledge of apprenticeships, workforce grants, and government-supported programs
  • Relevant workforce development or capability-building certifications or initiatives

This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $148,000 - 195,000 . The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
