Job summary

Palmer Companies, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Talent Outreach Coordinator to build strong partnerships with schools and community organizations and to manage internship programs from recruitment through placement.

You will develop pipelines, organize events, and promote career opportunities while coordinating with hiring managers. This role requires relationship-building, organization, and travel up to 30% to support peak recruitment periods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in recruiting, campus recruiting, workforce development, or internship coordination.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills–both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across various levels of an organization.
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and flexibility.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% during peak recruitment periods.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally visit job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for internships, apprenticeships, and entry-level positions.
  • Coordinate and manage summer internship programs, including scheduling and communication with hiring managers.
  • Organize recruiting events such as career fairs, open houses, classroom presentations, and company tours.
  • Build and sustain ongoing partnerships with high schools, colleges, trade schools, workforce agencies, and community organizations.
  • Promote the company's employment brand through presentations, social media, and community outreach.
  • Present to educational and workforce entities regarding career opportunities.
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and place interns and entry-level candidates, supporting hiring managers throughout the process.
  • Manage applicant tracking system workflows, candidate communication, and applicant disposition.
  • Assist with job posting, offer letters, and event planning.
  • Support special projects and company-sponsored events as needed.
