Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking an experienced trainer to join our regional training team, supporting direct care staff. You will deliver engaging sessions, build training materials, and lead virtual trainings across multiple states.

This role is 50% administration and 50% facilitation, with roughly 10 participants per session and a hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite). Travel across states is involved as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or education related to staff training or in-service presentation.
• Proven track record in virtual or web-based training programs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting.
• Ability to demonstrate physical coordination and crisis intervention demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating New Employee Orientation and making new hires feel welcomed.
• Create training materials using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Foster open communication about training needs with all staff levels.
• Support fellow trainers and assist in in-service training.
• Enter data into the Learning Management System and track completions.
• Lead virtual trainings using Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Teams.
• Coordinate training resources to maximize impact for individuals served.
• Balance 50% administration with 50% facilitation (75% in-person, 25% virtual across states, about 10 people per session).

Job Description

We are excited to announce that we are looking for an experienced, energetic, and engaging trainer to join our regional training team, dedicated to supporting our direct care staff who provide exceptional care to individuals with developmental disabilities.

The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker and a passionate trainer, well-versed in the latest tools and resources to enhance employee training and performance. Our Talent Development Specialists/Trainers play a vital role in delivering high-quality services, and your expertise will make a meaningful impact!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Facilitating New Employee Orientation: Conduct engaging and informative sessions, ensuring all new hires feel welcomed and prepared.
• Proficient Use of Software: Demonstrate your skills with programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook to create effective training materials.
• Open Communication: Foster ongoing dialogue with all staff levels regarding training requirements and needs.
• Supporting Fellow Trainers: Collaborate with colleagues and assist in organizational and departmental in-service training.
• Dataentry into our Learning Management System: Update and track training completions, classes, and essential data to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Leading Virtual Trainings: Utilize platforms like Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Teams to deliver training remotely. You'll also provide support with any technical issues that may arise.
• Coordinating Resources: Work together with staff to maximize training benefits for the individuals we serve and enhance program effectiveness.
• This role is a 50% administration and 50% facilitator role (75% of the facilitation in person and 25% virtual (will be for multiple states)average of 10people per session

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

• Experience/Education:1-2 years of experience or education related to staff trainingor in-service presentation.
• Proven Track Record:Demonstratedsuccess in conducting virtual or web-based training programs.
• Physical requirements: Instructors mustdemonstratephysical coordination and skill, which may include the ability tomaintainbalance while moving or being pushed or pulled. They must also be able to lower themselves into a half- squat position while keeping their back straight.Instructors will also be performing hands-on demonstrations of crisis intervention techniques.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and GoToMeeting.

NICE TOHAVE:

• Certifications: Musteither currentlyhold or be able to obtain certifications in required training programs. These include, but are not limited to: PMT, CPR, CBRF First Aid (including choking), CBRF Fire Safety, CBRF Standard Precautions, CPI, MANDT, and any other state orDungarvin-requiredprograms .
• Learning Management Systems:Experience usingReliasorWorkdayLearning.
• Population Experience:Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Large Group Facilitation:Comfort leading sessions with up to 50 participants.
