  • Review and manage incoming program and event requests, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors, and event participants.
  • Maintain event and program timelines, trackers, documentation, and records while ensuring compliance with company policies and requirements.
  • Track program and event progress, outcomes, and key activities and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Talent Attraction Events and Program Coordinator to support HPE’s university and early‑talent programs. This is a hybrid position based in Houston, Texas, with travel required to support events and programs throughout the year. You will coordinate and execute a variety of talent attraction events and programs, including high school internships, Hackathons, Code Wars, Capstone Projects, Military Transition Programs, and Early ID initiatives. This role will have a strong focus on end‑to‑end event coordination, including planning, logistics, vendor and stakeholder coordination, onsite execution, and post‑event follow‑up. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple events and initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

2–4 years of experience in program coordination, event management, university/early‑career programs, talent acquisition, or a related field.

Experience coordinating multiple programs, events, or initiatives simultaneously.

Experience working with internal stakeholders, external partners, and/or vendors.

Experience supporting event logistics, communications, documentation, and program tracking.

Ability and willingness to travel as required to support events and programs.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience coordinating and executing in‑person events, including logistics, vendors, communications, and onsite support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs, events, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate program documentation and support compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and make recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with applicant tracking or other HR systems is preferred.
