Job summary

Abbott in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a recruiter responsible for partnering with managers to define hiring needs and build candidate pipelines. You will craft postings, source talent, and assess fit across skills, education, and culture, ensuring a smooth interview process and strong candidate experience.

You will conduct interviews, extend offers, and maintain staffing data in the HR system, while collaborating with HR partners to improve time-to-fill metrics and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience with sourcing and building candidate pipelines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with managers to identify needs, job specifications, and qualifications necessary to fill positions.
  • Develop and implement organizational recruiting strategies to attract and find the best qualified candidates; sell the company, function and role to candidates.
  • Create recruitment advertising and online postings.
  • Source candidates through online social networking and job boards, community involvement, professional networking, local media resources, employee referrals, agency referrals and other sources as needed.
  • Assess potential candidates for fit within the position, including skills, education, experience, competency and company culture alignment.
  • Conduct interviews by evaluating employment factors such as job experience, education, training, skills, knowledge, and abilities and other data relevant to the selection process.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to further evaluate candidates after on‑site interviews.
  • Ensure candidates meet minimum job requirements.
  • Prepare, extend and negotiate competitive job offers.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers and HR and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Keep hiring managers informed throughout the recruitment process.
  • Develop and execute on innovative methods to source, evaluate, and pipeline external passive, diverse candidates for potential employment.
  • Maintain integrity of all staffing process records within Workday applicant tracking system.
  • Manage external vendor relationships with key hires or hard to fill requisitions.
  • Strive for continuous improvement on key performance metrics such as time‑to‑fill and satisfaction surveys.
  • Attend recruitment events as needed.
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Access and utilize HR information systems and data to run reports and validate, analyze, and utilize global employee data.
  • Complete recruitment projects as requested.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Required Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with sourcing and building candidate pipelines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with recruiting team members, HR team, hiring managers and external contacts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and respond quickly to change.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Self‑starter / Self‑motivated.
  • Interest and ability to move into a full‑cycle recruitment position.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word and Excel.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is helpful.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with the Internet.
  • Working knowledge of Workday is a plus.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks, good problem resolution, prioritization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and networks.

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Benefits and Compensation

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
