Job summary

HOME OF HOPE is seeking a Recruiter / Onboarding Specialist to support hiring and onboarding from interview to onboarding completion. You’ll act as a first contact for candidates, coordinating interviews, screenings, and new-hire orientation to ensure a welcoming, organized experience.

You will handle background checks, I-9 compliance, Paylocity onboarding, and maintain accurate hiring records while collaborating with HR leadership and supervisors to keep candidates informed and prepared.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple candidates and onboarding at various stages.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Experience with HRIS, ATS, Paylocity or similar platforms.
• Ability to learn new HR systems quickly.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in documentation.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and with HR team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interviews and schedule with hiring managers.
• Maintain candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
• Communicate with candidates and supervisors throughout the process.
• Administer pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• Prepare onboarding paperwork and ensure compliance.
• Conduct new-hire orientation and explain company policies.
• Ensure I-9 and eligibility documentation are complete.
• Assist with onboarding records and reporting.
