Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor to support large-scale construction projects from Lenexa, KS. You will act as the recruiting partner for project leadership, drive workforce planning, and manage full-cycle recruitment for construction and project support roles.

In this mid-level role, you will build pipelines, lead interviews, and coordinate events while ensuring compliance and timely staffing. Strong sourcing, analytics, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or EPC hiring.
  • Proven success sourcing passive candidates and filling difficult-to-fill roles.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project leadership to develop and execute workforce staffing plans.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer development, and onboarding support.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Utilize sourcing strategies including LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, military programs, and industry outreach.
  • Provide talent market insights and recruiting best practices to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interviews, hiring events, and candidate site visits.
  • Track recruiting metrics and report staffing updates to project and HR leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with recruiting policies and employment regulations.

Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor to support large-scale construction projects. This individual will serve as the primary recruiting partner for project leadership, driving workforce planning and full-cycle recruiting efforts to attract and hire top talent across construction and project support functions.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with project leadership to develop and execute workforce staffing plans.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer development, and onboarding support.

  • Track recruiting metrics and provide staffing updates to project and HR leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with recruiting policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or EPC-related hiring.
  • Proven success sourcing passive candidates and filling difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale project staffing, workforce planning, and rapid hiring ramps.
  • Background recruiting for Construction roles such as: Field Engineers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Safety, Quality, Materials Management, and Project Controls professionals.
  • Experience supporting union and project-based workforce hiring.
  • Experience partnering directly with project executives and operations leadership.
  • Advanced sourcing experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, market mapping, and competitive intelligence.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and recruiting analytics.
  • Experience supporting mega projects, power generation, advanced manufacturing, data center, LNG, industrial, or large commercial construction projects.
