A Brief Summary Of This Position

This role serves as a strategic partner to hiring managers and HR Business Partners to develop effective recruiting strategies, build strong talent pipelines, and deliver quality candidates in competitive labor markets. Success in this position requires strong sourcing capabilities, relationship-building skills, knowledge of manufacturing recruiting, and the ability to manage multiple requisitions across diverse business groups. The incumbent represents the Valmont employment brand and delivers an exceptional candidate experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Essential Functions
  • Travel up to 10% to manufacturing facilities to support hiring initiatives, hiring events, workforce planning discussions, and relationship-building with site leaders and HR partners.
  • Develop a strong understanding of site operations, workforce needs, and local labor market conditions to effectively support recruiting strategies across multiple locations.
  • Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines for production, skilled trades, and professional positions to support current and future workforce needs.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly manufacturing production positions across multiple Valmont facilities.
  • Support recruiting needs across multiple manufacturing locations, adjusting priorities and workload based on evolving business demands.
  • Support hiring for corporate and administrative positions as business needs arise.
  • Partner with site leadership, HR teams, and hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and implement recruiting strategies to meet staffing objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with workforce development organizations, trade schools, community colleges, military transition programs, and other external talent sources.
  • Utilize recruiting data and metrics to evaluate sourcing effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews, including phone screens, virtual interviews, on-site interviews, and hiring events, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring teams.
  • Manage interview logistics and communications, ensuring hiring managers and interview teams are prepared and aligned throughout the recruitment process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates, guidance, and a positive candidate experience.
  • Maintain proactive communication with candidates regarding application status, interview scheduling, offer details, and onboarding activities.
  • Utilize proactive sourcing strategies, community partnerships, workforce development programs, and networking opportunities to attract high-quality candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a recruitment role involving sourcing to offer acceptance
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends to facilitate recruiting events
  • Experience partnering and influencing hiring managers and executives throughout the recruiting cycle
  • High focus on candidate experience, superior negotiation and closing skills, and comfort navigating ambiguity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information to company management
  • Self-motivated and able to successfully deliver on all deadlines and flawlessly execute in a very fast-paced environment
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • A professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP
  • Experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance
  • Candidate relocation experience
