Job summary

Munters seeks a Manufacturing Efficiency Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering team, designing, validating, and improving production systems to safely meet customer demand with minimal labor, cost, and risk.

You will connect Operations, R&D, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Safety, Test, Maintenance, and Finance so people, material, tooling, and test systems are ready before takt begins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Operations, or equivalent.
• 8+ years in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or continuous improvement.
• 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Strong Lean, line design, productivity, capacity, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Protect takt by setting demand-based requirements and validating cycle time.
• Lead Manufacturing Engineers as system owners for product, line, process, labor, layout, standard work, readiness, waste, capacity, and improvement projects.
• Enforce production readiness gate with validation of release, BOM, materials, wire data and harnesses, tested panels, tooling, and takt.
• Drive parallel manufacturing with 70–80% of practical work completed offline via subassemblies, kits, harnesses, panels, piping modules, and tested assemblies.
• Design efficient manufacturing systems including process flow, layout, work balance, takt, cycle time, manhours, staffing, tooling, and risk controls.
• Participate in New Product Introduction applying DFM, assembly, testing, automation, and serviceability prior to production release.
• Lead elimination of the Seven Wastes via one-piece flow, standard work, line balancing, SMED, kanban, JIT, 5S, DMAIC, root-cause analysis, and automation.
• Develop capital and automation business cases using ROI, labor savings, capacity and revenue exposure, and risk reduction.
• Convert daily production abnormalities into permanent countermeasures by assigning action to owners.
