Suitsupply is seeking an experienced tailor in Chicago to ensure proper fit, perform alterations, and press garments. You will work closely with management and sales to provide a positive shopping experience for customers.

The role emphasizes alterations on suits, coats, shirts, and trousers, with a focus on accuracy, style, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• To adjust suits, coats, shirts and trousers, including sleeve shortening and lengthening.
• Shorten/lengthen sleeves, taper sides, lower collars, take in/out trouser waist.
• Shorten/lengthen trousers and taper trouser thighs and foot widths.
• Ensure proper sizing of clients and maintain a neat tailor shop.

Job description

Our Tailors work closely with Store Management and Sales Assistants to provide a positive, unique, fun shopping experience for our customers. The role of a tailor is primarily ensuring the proper fit, marking, altering, and pressing of garments.

Your typical day includes

• To adjust suits, coats, shirts and trousers. Included, but not limited to:
• Shorten/lengthen sleeves
• Taper sides of garments
• Lower collars
• Take in/out trouser waist
• Shorten/lengthen trousers
• Taper trouser thighs and foot widths
• Ensure proper sizing of clients
• Maintaining a clean and neat tailor shop
