Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services U.S. is hiring a Tactical Security Officer in a full-time capacity. The role requires keen situational awareness, the ability to patrol varied environments such as retail stores and transit hubs, and quick response to incidents.

Shifts include 5:00am-1:00pm and 3:00pm-11:00pm with a total of 40 and 32 hours per week respectively. The position offers an hourly wage of $18.57, along with a comprehensive benefits package and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide supporting documents.
• High School Diploma or GED required; ability to pass screening.
• Must be physically able to patrol and stand/walk for full shift.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.
• CPR/First aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas and identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check alarms, cameras, and other security systems.
• Document incidents and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Ensure safety of people and property.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a valid driver's license
• You have reliable transportation
• You are 21 years of age or older
• You have prior security experience.
• You have a valid security license and/or can obtain one.
• CPR is a plus!
