Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services seeks a Tactical Security Officer in Portland, Oregon. This temporary full-time role runs through January 1, 2027 with set schedules and a competitive hourly wage of $25.70/hour.

You will patrol locations such as retail stores and airports, read environments, and act to deter risk during shifts from early morning to evenings. Qualifications include being 21+, HS diploma or GED, ability to pass screening, and prior security or related experience.

• First aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to stand and walk for the full shift.
• Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard?

• Site Location: Portland, Oregon
• This is a temporary position that will last until January 1st, 2027
• Set schedule: Full-time, Thursday to Sunday, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Days, 40 Hours
• Set schedule: Full-time, Saturday thru Wednesday, 2 p.m., to 10:30 p.m., Swings, 40 Hours
• Set schedule: Full-time, Tuesday & Wednesday., 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Days, and Thursday & Friday, 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Swings, 32 Hours
• Competitive hourly wage of $25.70 / hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Qualifications Of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience
• Must be 21, or older
