Job summary

Healthworks Medical Llc in Kentucky is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to support a DOE facility. The role focuses on performance, safety, injury prevention, and physical readiness of Protective Force personnel, firefighters, and first responders.

Under Medical Director oversight, you will design and monitor fitness programs, administer tests, and provide guidance on nutrition, training, and equipment safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of fitness training with first responders, military, or other demanding occupations.
• Certified Personal Trainer (NCCA-accredited) or equivalent certification.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of DOE/NNSA physical readiness standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fitness programs for Protective Force personnel.
• Administer, score, and interpret physical readiness tests.
• Coordinate with Medical Director and physicians for clearances and plans.
• Deliver injury prevention and proper biomechanics training.
• Maintain participant records and generate progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with CFR 1046 and DOE directives.
