Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC is seeking an FPV Instructor in Virginia Beach to lead hands-on flight operations and platform maintenance for tactical UAS. The role requires maintaining a Secret clearance and conducting operations in challenging environments.

The candidate will develop and deliver training curricula for foundational and advanced FPV skills, oversee payload integration, and coordinate with cross-functional teams across DoD components. A valid U.S.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance eligibility and ability to obtain/maintain clearance within DoD programs.
• UAS flight physical and medical readiness documented.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 3 years of tactical FPV flight experience across multiple UAS platforms.
• Experience in designing/training curricula for foundational and advanced flight skills.
• Familiarity with PCB soldering and wiring.
• Experience working with DoD cross-functional teams.
• Experience vetting FPV/sUAS/cUAS hardware and software.
• Strong electronics safety knowledge.
• 3 years with Betaflight and FPV simulators.
• Experience integrating payloads and comms into UAS.
• Experience in Counter-UAS operations, TTPs.
• Experience using FPVs in real-world combat scenarios.
• FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot tactical UAS platforms and payloads.
• Conduct flight operations in contested electromagnetic environments and low-light/night conditions.
• Integrate FPV operations into small-unit maneuvers, including target identification and grid relay, with counter-UAS focus.
