Job summary

Cape Fox Corporation, Kwaan Tech, LLC, seeks a highly organized Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Simulator Operator/Maintainer to support training and operation of combat simulators at multiple locations under C2 contracts. The role entails maintaining software, testing hardware, and providing IT support for simulator systems to enable realistic CAS/JTAC training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, IS, Data Science or Software Engineering from ABET/NCAE-C accredited program.
• 3 years practical experience with air-to-ground operations.
• 3 years practical experience with military simulation training device operations.
• Cyberspace Foundational Certification per DoDM 8140.03.
• Minimum 6 months experience operating, maintaining, or supporting simulation equipment or related systems.
• One year experience in design, development or execution of exercises/evaluations.
• Maintain 20 hours/year of Cyberspace CPD as required by DoDM 8140.03.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service mindset with ethical standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Webex, Zoom).
• Analytical/evaluative skills for planning and scheduling complex processes.
• US citizen with valid U.S. passport and Secret clearance; authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain software baseline and monitor simulators per SPO and TSSC guidance; ensure hardware/software function and operation standards.
• Function test hardware/software to resolve problems and perform on-site repairs.
• Store system security audits and manage network connectivity on approved simulator networks.
• Provide IT support for simulator-related issues and ensure baseline system connectivity.
• Install simulator OS software and apply patches and controls.
• Provide TACP expertise for CAS, TACS, and C2 IAW AFI 13-114 Volume 3.
• Maintain knowledge of CAS/TTPs relevant to JTAC/TACP/ASOC missions.
• Develop realistic combat scenarios for ASOC/JTAC/TACP training.
• Assist in training military members as simulator operators/maintainers.
• Create graphic overlays on maps to aid input to JTAC during training.
• Provide inputs representing pilot and ground forces in simulations.
• Maintain training archives and reports for higher headquarters.
• Maintain CAS aircraft TTPs and weapons effects realism.
• Create complex scripts using manufacturer manuals to meet training objectives consistently.
• Create scenarios reflecting challenges of coordinating operations in a combined arms environment.
• Monitor and report status of squadron training devices and network operations.
