Job summary

KBR, TACOM (WVA) Production Controller role supports maintenance production control activities, planning and coordinating work to meet PWS requirements, and ensuring FMC status for assets. You will monitor orders, schedules, and data accuracy while driving performance improvements in a DoD environment.

This on-site position requires experience in maintenance operations, PMCS, and Army processes, with leadership responsibilities and the ability to obtain/se maintain a government clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred.
• Typically 5-7 years of experience in production control, maintenance operations, logistics, or a related field within a DoD or military environment
• 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role (strongly preferred)
• Working knowledge of Army maintenance processes, including PMCS and maintenance scheduling
• Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., GCSS-Army or equivalent)
• Ability to analyze data, track performance metrics, and manage workflow priorities
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor maintenance production schedules to ensure timely completion of work in accordance with PWS requirements
• Oversee workload distribution and workflow between maintenance, supply, and supervisory personnel
• Monitor status of work orders, backlog, and maintenance actions to ensure operational efficiency and mission readiness
• Analyze production metrics, equipment status, and maintenance trends to identify issues and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) are scheduled, tracked, and completed in accordance with Army standards
• Maintain oversight of maintenance management systems and ensure accuracy of data input, reporting, and documentation
• Coordinate with supply and logistics personnel to ensure availability of parts, materials, and equipment
• Review and validate maintenance records, reports, and documentation for completeness and compliance
• Support inspections, audits, and readiness evaluations by ensuring proper documentation and adherence to standards
• Enforce compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) requirements
• Provide guidance and direction to Production Control Clerks and maintenance personnel as required
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and mission performance

Program Summary

The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations. Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.

Job Summary

The Production Controller is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance production control activities in support of TACOM operations. The controller manages workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure maintenance operations are executed efficiently and in compliance with contractual requirements. This role ensures accuracy of maintenance data, monitors performance metrics, and supports operational readiness by maintaining equipment in a Fully Mission Capable (FMC) status.

• Experience in production control leadership or maintenance operations management
• Familiarity with Army reporting systems, readiness metrics, and operational reporting requirements
• Experience supporting government inspections, audits, and compliance programs
• Prior government contracting experience

Additional Information

This position will be performed in office, maintenance facilities, depots, and field environments that require a combination of desk-based project work and hands-on operations. There is potential exposure to machinery, tools, fuels, oils, and outdoor conditions. Employees may also be required to work shifts, overtime, or weekend support based on mission needs.

The salary range for this position is $39,100 - $58,600. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.
