Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision of assigned personnel, including Automotive Workers and related staff.
  • Assign daily work tasks and prioritize workload to meet mission and schedule requirements.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to work standards.
  • Support onboarding, training, and mentoring of assigned personnel.
  • Enforce workplace conduct, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and sustainment activities in line with Army TMs, SOPs, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct job site observations and ensure proper use of tools and PPE.
  • Support quality inspections and corrective actions.
  • Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the workforce and program leadership.
  • Provide daily or periodic status updates on work progress and personnel issues.

TACOM (SIAD): Direct Line Supervisor (Contingency)**Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR!****Program Summary**The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.Under this contract, supervisory personnel provide first-line leadership and operational oversight for maintenance and sustainment teams, ensuring work is performed in accordance with Army Technical Manuals (TMs), safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual performance metrics.**Job Summary**The Direct Line Supervisor serves as the first-line leader responsible for supervising assigned personnel engaged in automotive maintenance, sustainment, and related operational tasks in support of TACOM‐managed systems. This role ensures safe, efficient, and complaint execution of daily work activities while maintaining workforce productivity and mission readiness. The supervisor will coordinate with maintenance leads, quality personnel, and program management to ensure optimal work performance. The position plays a critical role in driving readiness goals by minimizing downtime and rework.**This position is contingent upon award****Roles and Responsibilities*** Provide direct supervision of assigned personnel, including Automotive Workers and related staff* Assign daily work tasks and prioritize workload to meet mission and schedule requirements* Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to work standards* Support onboarding, training, and mentoring of assigned personnel* Enforce workplace conduct, safety, and compliance standards* Oversee execution of maintenance, repair, and sustainment activities to ensure work is performed in accordance with Army TMs, SOPs, and safety regulations* Conduct job site observations and ensure proper use of tools and PPE* Support quality inspections and corrective actions* Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, reports, and documentation* Serve as the primary point of contact between the workforce and program leadership* Provide daily or periodic status updates on work progress and personnel issues* Support audits, inspections, and government reviews as required**Basic Qualifications*** High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred* Typically 5+ years of supervisory experience in an automotive, maintenance, industrial, or logistics environment* Working knowledge of automotive practices and shop operations* Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills* Ability to successfully lead teams in a structured, compliance driven environment* Proven experience working in physically demanding operational environments* Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)* U.S. citizenship required**Preferred Qualifications*** Previous experience supervising personnel on DoD, Army, or TACOM programs* Experience supporting tactical or heavy vehicle maintenance operations* Familiarity with Army maintenance documentation, TMs, and readiness reporting* Prior government contracting experience*The salary range for this position is $134,800 - $202,200. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.***Additional Information**This position will be a part of a physical work environment that requires standing, walking, and lifting. There is potential exposure to machinery, tools, fuels, oils, and outdoor conditions. Employees may also be required to work shifts, overtime, or weekend support based on mission needs.
