Job summary

ViaPath Technologies in Carlisle, Indiana, seeks a Tablet Repair Supervisor to lead a team of incarcerated individuals at the client site. The role covers supervising repairs, re-qualification, refurbishing tablets, and ensuring safety and process adherence in a production shop located on the customer site.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a background in industrial repair environments.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial setting, including a minimum of 2 years in related technical repair roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management and/or leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Windows OS and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Android experience preferred.

  • Materials coordination to include handling and unpacking / packing of inbound and outbound tablet computers.

Overview

ViaPath is currently seeking a Tablet Repair Supervisor to join our growing team. The Tablet Repair Supervisor will be based at the customer site and will be responsible for supervising a team of currently incarcerated individuals within the Indiana Department of Correction's ICI Industries operations. The team is responsible for repairing, re-qualifying, and refurbishing ViaPath Android tablet computers including testing, component replacement and configuration broken tablets.

This position will be based at the client site in Carlisle, Indiana.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Windows OS and MS Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on work assignments while meeting competing deadlines
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and be able to work with team members to move equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to follow production schedules and monitor quality of work
  • Ability to resolve operational problems
  • Ability to pass customer training requirements and implement processes and procedures following custody policy and procedure protocols
  • Android experience preferred
