Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a highly talented Senior Tableau Developer to join our team in Holmdel, NJ, with hybrid work (3 days in office). You will lead dashboard design for FP&A, finance reporting, and executive analytics.

The role emphasizes data modeling, performance tuning of Tableau dashboards and SQL queries, collaboration with FP&A and finance leaders, and mentoring junior BI staff in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Senior Tableau Developer with FP&A BI reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop Tableau dashboards, scorecards and analytical reports for FP&A and executives.
• Optimize dashboards and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Finance stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Mentor junior BI developers and support agile cross-functional teams.
• Support month-end close, quarterly forecasts, and annual planning cycles.

Role/Responsibilities

• Experienced Senior Tableau Developer with strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and business intelligence reporting.
• Proven experience developing Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports for finance and executive leadership teams.
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI monitoring.
• Proficient in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Prep, SQL, and data visualization best practices.
• Experience analyzing large financial datasets to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities.
• Ability to design and implement interactive dashboards for Budget vs Actuals, Forecast Accuracy, Revenue Growth, and Profitability analysis.
• Experience integrating data from Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, and cloud-based platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality management.
• Ability to optimize Tableau dashboards and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Experience partnering with FP&A teams, Finance leaders, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Skilled in creating executive-level dashboards and presenting insights through effective data storytelling.
• Experience supporting month-end close, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning cycles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile environments and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Proven mentoring and leadership experience supporting junior developers and BI teams.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $ 105,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $ 184,000 per year
