Job summary

TEK Hire Solutions is seeking a Senior Tableau Developer & Data Analytics SME to join our team in Maryland onsite. You will develop and enhance enterprise Tableau dashboards, implement advanced features, and translate complex requirements into polished, user-friendly dashboards.

The role requires strong Tableau Desktop and SQL skills (PostgreSQL), experience with NoSQL (MongoDB), and familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes. A public trust clearance and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with analysis, design and developing systems.
• Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
• Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site 5 days a week
• Demonstrated experience with Tableau dashboard development and enhancement
• Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL database (MongoDB preferred) querying
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Experience in translating loosely defined requirements into polished dashboards with minimal oversight
• Strong experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, especially in PostgreSQL environments
• Excellent Communication skills

• Utilize advanced Tableau Desktop features (parameter actions, LOD expressions, relationships/joins, complex interactions, custom visualizations).
• Design intuitive, visually clean, and story-driven dashboards focused on user experience.
• Translate loosely defined requirements into polished, functional dashboards with minimal oversight.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, especially in PostgreSQL environments.
• Work with messy data; identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Troubleshoot Tableau performance issues (workbook optimization, calculations, filters, queries).
• Deliver accurate, thoroughly tested dashboards with QA in Agile/Scrum settings.
• Follow written technical requirements with minimal rework.
• Document dashboard changes, testing results, and technical implementation details.
• Communicate proactively regarding risks, blockers, and implementation considerations.
• Manage multiple enhancement requests, defects, and ad hoc analysis tasks efficiently.
