Job summary

Associates Systems is seeking an engineer to support self-service analytics on a cloud data platform and Tableau for a State agency client. Responsibilities include provisioning the environment, defining data models and source-to-target mappings, building data ingestion pipelines, developing Tableau dashboards, and conducting functional testing.

Qualifications

• Experience provisioning cloud data platforms with RBAC and security controls.
• Proficiency in SQL for data transformation, validation, and stored procedures.
• Experience building data ingestion pipelines: streaming, micro-batch and bulk loads.
• Design and implement cloud-native ETL/ELT pipelines with batch and CDC patterns.
• Strong understanding of Medallion architecture: Bronze, Silver, Gold.
• Hands-on data modeling and producing source-to-target mappings.
• Tableau development: dashboards, live/extract connections, data sources.
• Knowledge of Tableau row-level security (RLS) and user access.
• Familiarity with cloud data services including storage and migration tooling.
• Ability to produce design docs, data mappings, and testing artifacts for technical/business audiences.
• Scripting in Python or shells for orchestration.
